Welcome, I’m Willie Mae Murphy, LCSW and Certified IFS Therapist. I specialize in working with individuals and couples navigating complex trauma, emotional neglect, childhood attachment wounds, and difficult life changes. I offer both in-person and virtual sessions, and my services are insurance reimbursable. I believe that finding the right therapist is an important part of the healing process, and I’d be honored to connect and see if we’re a good fit.
The Approach
As a Certified IFS therapist, I believe you already hold the inner wisdom and strength needed to heal. In our work together, we’ll gently turn toward the parts of you that hold pain, shame, or fear—not to push them away, but to understand and befriend them. Embracing these wounded parts with curiosity and compassion is often the first step toward learning what is needed for them to release their grip on you and allow for real healing .
While I primarily work from an IFS lens, I also draw from psychodynamic and attachment theories, mindfulness, CBT, and narrative therapy to support your unique needs. I see therapy as a collaborative, responsive process—and I bring warmth, curiosity, and a touch of humor into every session.

In individual therapy, I offer a safe, supportive space to explore what’s bringing you in—whether it’s anxiety, grief, trauma, or a desire for deeper self-understanding. Our work is tailored to your needs, helping you recognize unhelpful patterns, care for the parts of you in pain, and reconnect with your most grounded, authentic self..
I help couples improve communication, rebuild trust, and reconnect emotionally. Whether you're facing conflict, stress, or disconnection, we'll identify unhelpful patterns and work toward deeper understanding and healthier ways of relating—so both partners feel seen, heard, and supported.
IFS is at the heart of my approach. If you’ve ever felt conflicted within yourself—like part of you wants change but another part feels afraid—you’re not alone. IFS helps us gently explore these internal parts with compassion and curiosity. IFS can be especially powerful for those dealing with trauma, shame, or persistent inner conflict.
As a certified KAP provider, I offer ketamine-assisted therapy in partnership with Journey Clinical. This approach combines ketamine with talk therapy to access deeper parts of the psyche and support lasting change. KAP can be especially helpful for those facing depression, trauma, anxiety, or feeling stuck despite other treatments.
Psychedelic Integration Counseling
I offer short-term psychedelic integration counseling (4–12 sessions) using an Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach. Whether your experience was challenging or expansive, I provide a supportive space to explore insights, process emotions, and translate what emerged into meaningful change.

Sessions
Individual sessions are 50 minutes and are typically scheduled once per week. I offer both in-person and video sessions to provide flexibility and meet your scheduling needs.
Rates
The fee for individual sessions is $225. Payment is due at the time of each session and can be made by cash, check, or credit card.
Insurance
For many insurance plans I can submit claims and accept payment using your out of network benefits. I am an out-of-network provider for all insurance plans. I can also provide superbills that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. If you're unsure about your coverage, I’m happy to speak with you and help navigate the insurance process.
Location
My office is located in Bergen County next to the Montvale commuter train station at the intersection of East Grand Ave and Kinderkamack Road.
Can’t make it into the office? Not a problem– I offer virtual and phone sessions as well.
